Why is it that when i download on my iphone 5 through3g is faster than when i download in wifi? My wifi downloads about 2 mbps but this problem doesnt occur on the appstore

I know that cydia is getting a lot of users now, but is it normal for it not to refresh and also for it to download packages very slow?
