If it's obviously a hardware defect, like dust under the screen or dead pixels, they really have no reason to check.

Lol some guy told me that no matter what apple could see whether you jailbroke and i was like wanna bet. It would be impossible for them to see it no matter what if you knew how to do it right and half the time they don't even check! Sorry for the rant, guys. And yeah half the time they shouldn't care

They can. If you jailbreak, it leaves a permanent mark on your device. Apple could find out if they really wanted to but they don't really care that much.

If you seriously went into it and shredded the contents I don't understand how they could see it. Is it hardware or something?

Yea theres an app in cydia that claims to hide all aspects of cydia and jailbreaking in general but its safer to just restore it.

I am new to the ipad world & I am sorry I am bringing this old thread back but I could use the help.
I am curious on how to jail break the original ipad and is there a way to completely hise the fact that it is jb?
Reason being is, my wife allows the kids to use it but she fails when it comes to monitoring it so I want to install a program to monitor what the kids are doing on it.
My computers are already monitored but the ipad is not.
If any of my kids are doing something wrong I want to know about it and correct it but they as well as my wife are fairly smart enough to know what to look for in a jb ipad.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
