It's called rooting on an Android phone and you don't need to root your phone to download free apps.

Hahahaha iPh0neSuK nice punctuation usage in your first post. As in none.

Anyways, just search in the native browser for whatever app you want, but like xxxxx.apk, where xxxxx is the app name. Download it, navigate to it in a file browser, and install it.

Download astro file manager from the market and in the settings there is an option to allow all downloads in the browser, select it, restart browser and you are golden.

+1.

Lol, it doesn't really bother me when people misspell things or forget to capitalize something. However when you write an ENTIRE paragraph of rambling run on sentences with zero punctuation or capitalization, it gets a little rediculous. My solution? Don't allow anyone under the age of 14 to get a smartphone (or a computer for that matter). Just don't do it.
