I tried to upgrade to 4.1 also but found out from more experienced users that know more than I do told me that we can't because apple has to sighn the version you want to use and since they have a newer version they are no longer signing older versions. I don't know of anyway to do this and I've been looking everywhere for a way so if I or you find a way please let me know

i have a ipod 4g updated via itunes to 4.2.1. can i sync it with itunes after jailbreaking it with redsnow 0.9.6b4?

yes you can sync after a jailbreak. music, apps ect

true you can sync with iTunes but you can't upgrade to 4.1 only 4.2

I dl'd 4.1 to my pc from felix. I want to go from 4.0.1 on my iphone 4 to 4.1 but I'm getting the 3194 error from itunes. where am I going wrong ? I've tried all the usual ports / firewall/ proxy crap. my head is starting to spin lol

oh, when i jb it when i got the phone i did the whole cydia/make my life easy thing. but some posts on here say that error 3194 means no blobs saved?

it went into recovery instead of dfu then recboot couldn't get it out of recovery for ages. what else can i try, i dont wanna brick my i4

It had the black screen but itunes kept telling me it was in recovery mode ?

I have a 3GS, baseband 5.14.02, model MB715LL, running 4.1.0 currently.  Is this able to update to 4.2.1 and re-jb and still be untethered?
The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!
