You can essentially get free cell service (on a wireless network) by using this method.
I have a prepaid phone with limited minutes on it. I also have an iPhone that is not in service. Download the Vonage app and set it up so that the prepaid phone is the number it uses. The app will then call the prepaid phone to ensure it is in service and voilà, you can now make unlimited domestic calls Completely Free from your iPhone!!! Incoming calls will still go to the prepaid, however you can make outgoing calls as frequently, and long as you wish. My girlfriend lives in a completely different state right now, and I am able to talk to her for hours on end. And the best part; the prepaid minutes never subtract. ;-)

You mean you install the Vonage app on your iPhone, set the number to another phone, and that's it?

Exactly. Get the Vonage app for iPhone, ignore the crap about $19.99 a month, that's for international calls, and follow the directions on the app.
