Ok. I searched and didn't find what I'm after. I'm hopeing for something that works for more than 1 tv brand and not only on wifi. Thanks.

I dont think there is an app that can change tv channels via IR directly. (Does iphone even have IR?). But there is apps that lets you change tv channels if you buy a module/adapter. Not worth it.

I think it's safe to say that what you want done kant be done. Only way you kuld pull this off is if Apple kame out with their own TV.

What brand tv you have? Samsung tv's can be controlled thru wifi. You can buy a case that has an ir transmitter and dl an app for it. It works on mostly all tv's. It's a little over 50 bucks and the app is free.

They have apple tv and iphone works on apple tv as remote, but i think it works through bluetooth.
I think Iphone lacks IR sender/reciever, thats why it doesnt work. But im not sure, someone correct me.
