As these three games Guild Wars 2 , Diablo 3 and Tera are coming one after one. It is really hard to choose one. Right? i have joined the beta of D3 and Tera. I think the picture of tera is really good but not easy to control and find the task. on the contrary, diablo 3 is much better as the strory line of all the five classes is the same.
GW2 & D3 & Tera, which one you would choose

What's up, bust? I've been debating the same thing with a friend of mine for a little while now, and I'm having a hard time swaying him from d3. Originally I liked D3 because of all the hype it's been getting from the oldschool diablo followers, plus its remote cooperative playability with friends made it seem like an entertaining overhead dungeon-crawler to waste some time on this summer.
Then i had the opportunity to play the Tera beta last weekend...and needless to say, I definitely began questioning my reasons for wanting to play d3. It comes down to one thing for me: open world (plus some pvp elements that i think will outclass d3 in the end, in terms of skill requirement and excitement factor). Is it true d3 will have no open world for nation-wide/international player interaction? This spoils the idea of an MMORPG for me. Im a hardcore fan of FFXI and WoW for their innovative ways to plot players against one another in a natural element (moreso in WoW w/ opposing factions..but ffxi had its own competitive economies). Without player customization and open-world interactions, what's the sense of having millions of players worldwide? I'm a big fan of the battle format in Tera, with the open hitbox collisions and reaction-required dodging and guarding. I think being responsible for your own hit/miss ratio and having to guard/evade on your own makes the battle difficulty greatly superior to d3's (this screams Monster Hunter for me, which had huge success in Asia), though admittedly I haven't played d3 personally. I did watch over-shoulder during beta, however, and nothing seemed so inviting as the player creation screen from Tera online.
Ultimately, I want to like both..but Tera pops out as stunning and having potential, while d3 looked like Champions of Norrath rerolled. Graphics aside. Do you think d3's alleged storyline would outweigh the gameplay involvement that Tera has? Also the pvp is still a little vague in tera, as i dont know how it works entirely but understand there may be playerkilling elements/duels/pvp arena(s). D3's pvp just seems like arranged battleground stuff with teams of varying size, but w/o plyr customization im just not as interested. How would you justify d3 as a plausible alternative to Tera?
--and I havent looked into the Guild Wars series, so I cant comment on that.. i can't seem to take seriously any game that offers free long-term play.
