I don't think there's a jailbreak out for the 4S on 5.1

I pretty sure the most recent jailbreak you can do is for 5.0.1. You'll have to wait for a 5.1 tool. :/

I would go away from trying to jailbreak your phone cus 1. the warranty is gone 2. it crashed my phone i didnt have anything just apps 3. installing the wrong cydia apps will cuase your ipod to lag and destroy your ipods memory. But if you would love to go ahead

Plus installing a crap-load of addons from Cydia will kill your battery length :(

Jailbreaking allows you to get apps for free. There's no way to jailbreak an iPhone 4S at 5.1 right now. You will have to wait.

At least your warranty will expire by the end of the wait so you won't have to worry about voiding it once the new jailbreak comes out.

A list of corrections:
1: Jailbreaking only voids your warranty if Apple finds out you jailbroke your device.
2: Device lag is usually the result of loading cracked apps or pirated tweaks.
3: Battery usage is also common when using the pirated versions of apps and tweaks.
4: There has never been (to my knowledge) a case where Cydia apps or tweaks have caused memory damage.
5: Jailbreaking is to open your device to accept programs or programming it normally wouldn't.
6: Unlocking is opening up your device to be used on other carriers, not just the "official" ones.
I hope this clears some things up for you. Also there is no current jailbreak tool for 5.1 firmware.
