Updated. I guess its a little smoother on my iPod. Not as smooth as 4.x but better than 5.0.1.

Meh 9A406 fixed all the problems on my 4S

Bloodhound. Why do you have to be all fancy-like and say 9A406 instead of 5.0.1 (i think thats the corresponding fw)

I'm guessing you said lost if you're referring to me. But I don't jailbreak anymore. iOS 5 completely ruined my iPod experience even though it added some things.

Like bandit said, there are two version of 5.0.1. The first one is 9A405 Which was the initial release. It was really buggy and I had severe battery issue on it as well. 9A406 is the revised one which you had to download the ipsw file for since it doesn't allow OTA updates from 9A405.
9A406 fixed all the bugs in my 4S including battery issues

my got 4g on his 4s after updating to 5.1...i saw it on his phone and its not jailbroken
