EA and DICE have revealed details of three expansion packs for Battlefield 3, titled respectively Close Quarters, Armored Kill and End Game, with the first hitting in June.

Not one to do things by halves, EA and DICE have revealed details of not one but three DLC expansion packs for military shooter Battlefield 3, with the first available from June.
Battlefield 3: Close Quarters will be first out of the blocks that month, bringing with it new assignments, weapons and dog tags all focused on up close and personal infantry combat.
That will be followed by Battlefield 3: Armored Kill in the fall, which will emphasise the other end of the BF3 spectrum, bringing with new driveable ATVs, tanks, mobile artillery and more. DICE are also promising new large-scale maps to take advantage of these new additions, including “the biggest map in Battlefield history”.
Finally, Battlefield 3: End Game will close things out sometime this winter, although DICE are keeping lips firmly sealed on what this will contain.
It’s interesting to see the announcement of these DLC packs so close to the reveal of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, this autumn’s instalment in EA’s other FPS franchise. Whether adding new material to Battlefield 3 will draw attention away from that title remains to be seen.
