Finally saw this at Best Buy the other day. To anyone who thinks this phone is big your right! It's like holding a mini Galaxy 8.1" tab in your hand. I put my G-Nex up to it and it made my G-Nex look like a midget. 5" screen is just to big for a phone IMO.

Got to play with this phone for the first time today. Wayyyyy too big for me. Lol It was bigger than I thought. I've got nothing against anyone who uses this phone but I couldn't see myself with a phone this big.

Samsung galaxy s3 comes in 22 may.
4.8 inch screen. 12mp camera. 2240x 1980 pixels(something like that) quad core. 2gb ram. I need it!

I don't see 4.8" as unrealistic. Especially if they want to make a 720p Super AMOLED Plus display. And like you said, there's no way it'll be more than that. Definitely not 2240x1980. WTF kind of resolution is that? Lol And if they're going to use the onscreen buttons and actually get rid of the space where the buttons would be (unlike the Galaxy Nexus), 4.8" won't seem that big.

4.8 inch will be edged.
So the phone itself would be quite the same size as the Nexus.


Samsung confirmed their new phone to be named GT-i9800.A phone with an
A phone with a quad core processor of Samsung itself.

Since Samsung sells the screens to Apple for the new ipad3 (and rumoured also the iphone5) they will be using themselves an upgraded version for their kind of items.
The new 11.6 inch tablet of Samsung will be a upscaled version of the ipad3's screen.
The same will happen with the S3.

The S3 is also rumoured to have a wireless charge system. (More cancer to the humans?)

Either way, that resolution is just crazy and doesnt make much sense? what aspect ratio is that?

That screen is not going on a phone. Samsung is making 2048x1536 displays for a 9.7" tablet. There's no way they can take a resolution higher than that, cram it in a display that's like 4x smaller, and make it affordable. Plus there would be no point. It would hurt performance more than it would help with clarity. I don't doubt a quad core processor or 4.7-4.8" screen, but anything higher than 1280x800 resolution is not happening.
