Help please! It keeps rebuilding my photo library. How do I make it stop or fix it?

Did you try sync'ing to itunes? That almost always fixes it

After all this time. I'm still lost with iTunes. Do I select sync with iPhoto? Or how?

Just connect your device and open itunes. it should sync automatically.
can you see your device in My Computer (Windows) or Finder (Mac)?
You should copy all the photos and videos to a folder in your desktop just in case.

It doesn't sync automatically unless you tell it to. And iDevices don't appear in finder.
You only wanna sync with iPhoto if thats where you keep your photo library, and you want those photo's on your device.
