I think iOS might be getting a file manager of some sort.

Hope not?

yer i already said, i don't expect to me able to mount a disk image or anything. Just being able to store it, send it, rename it and upload it would be cool. Maybe allow us to compress and uncompress files too.

Did you even read my post? [???]

I said Apple could update Messages on iOS to be like Mail. You can receive any type of file but that doesn't mean you'll be able to save it. That doesn't mean we'll have a file system.

I didn't understand properly. I thought you meant that you hoped apple wasn't going to bother.
They wanna add a file manager, then allow add ons for reading file types in the app store. Even if the add ons are just apps, so long as you can select the file in the manager and not have to open it through the app (add on).

Apple should employ me. I could be the ideas guy XD

I hope Apple never employs you. If it were up to you, we'd never get a faster iPad.

What?

I think everyone would want one if they listened to me :P
For example, i would ditch all this facebook/twitter integration and similar features and make them downloadable OPTIONS. I dont care for either, and im sure I'm not the only one. Id also have native way of modifying the OS, whether it be skins or tweaks. I'd make sure only the best stuff was aloud to pass through though, if it's compatible with everything in existence and made to a high quality, it will be added. I'd remove all stock apps and let you decide which to install... Id add loads of stuff and change stuff at the same time, but whilst not actually adding loads of stuff to the OS as such.

Do you think the reason Apple doesn't have bluetooth sharing is for a future update //marketing scheme?

More than likely, the reason is so that they continue to make money from people downloading music from iTunes.

Things like Bluetooth file sharing and safari download manager may compromise security and open the doors to piracy.
