It seems apple aren't keen on Spire and it's growing popularity. So much so that they're enforcing more rules to break it for Spire users.

Previously, you only needed Spire, a host and a certificate and you were away. Now Apple have added a "SetActivationToken" which has disabled Siri for almost everyone on illegitimate devices.

A temporary (hopefully) workaround of deleting "com.apple.assistant.plist" from "/var/mobile/library/preferences" on the device appears to resolve the issue for now, but will this become another game of cat and mouse for apple, just like in Jailbreaking?

No doubt we'll soon find out!

This sucks for a lot of Spire users but I don't really need Siri so I guess I'm not concerned.
Still I think it's important that we keep Spire alive.

It might be legal or whatever. But apple can change whatever they like to make it not or make it impossible. You are essentially pirating software.

There's no com.apple.plist as far as I know. The only file you delete is com.apple.assistant.plist.

What proxy are you using BTW?

No. Lol

Delete com.apple.assistant.plist and respring. Then go to http://paradox-produ...e=server-status and look at the bottom row of the tablet that says "Accepting new people". It'll tell you how much longer it'll be until they accept new people. When it says "Happy hour" keep trying to connect by activating Siri.

Ignore com.apple.plist. I don't know where you saw that but the only file you need to delete is com.apple.assistant.plist.

Delete the assistant file in ifile or whatever ssh client you want, respring and reconnect during happy hour! FTW
