Hello out there. Mostly new to the open source app community, but I am enjoying the new found knowledge. When I was young, I spent a great deal of time on my TI-99 and Commadore 64. As I got older, and created offspring, I drifted into automotives and motorcycles. The one thing that I have kept pretty constant is my art. I made the transition to digital media about four years ago. Much of my work still starts out with old school pencil and paper, but it will usually end up in PS or AI.
I made the Mac transition shortly after the release of Vista. And for the most part, I'm pretty happy with it.
Now I have the iPhone, but I did not like how hard it was to get files from one device to another. That is one of the major advantages of the Droid platform, to me.
Well that problem has been dealt with, thanks to developers, and I thank you.
This brings us to why I joined this forum. I hope to learn more about iOS and possible contribute ideas and art to developers. And in return, I will have the opportunity to converse with others that feel they should have full control of what the devices, that they have paid for, does.
So far, I am glad to be here and I am looking forward to making some new friends.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Got a lot done tonight. Got the firewall up, SSH running and mobile terminal was a tricky task. Kept crashing until I re installed core utilities. It is so much easier to access my files now.
