There's been a lot of buzzing in the past 24 hours about some pictures that were leaked of a prototype iPod Nano that has a camera. The latest reports are showing that there is still a good amount of work to be done to make it final.

According to our factory sources, Apple have problems with the lens aperture for the next-gen iPod nano, the iris is not functioning correctly to allow the advantages of the low aperture to be utilized. Every shot was overexposed. Apple intends to correct its mistake, but the problem still exists in this prototype that is manufactured two months ago. What's more, a 2-megapixel camera was tested, but it was unsatisfactory - the photos look washed-out and flat. The good news is… this 2-month-old prototype is close to final product, the UI is done.

This isn't the first time an iPod Nano prototype with a camera has been rumored. Back in May there were pictures of a prototype that eliminated the clip. In November Apple filed a patent on a clip that had a hole in the clip to allow the camera to see through it.

Anyone interested in this? Does anyone here even have an iPod Nano? (Kinda joking....)

this rumour was around a long time ago. to be honest i dont think i would use it, even if i had a use for such a device.

BTW, brand new current gen for sale here if anyone is interested? if not it's going to find it way to ebay. there was a recall on old ipod nanos and they sent my a shinny new one. no accessories, device only.

It wouldn't make much sense to build a camera and include it into this ipod nano. Resolution and stuff would be terrible and there's clearly no need for a camera.

Again Apple adds a feature which are only a nice-to-have but no-need.

It's stickers used to cover and protect electronics or moving parts. I'd guess maybe the apple has a function seeing as it's brighter, or maybe it lights up like on a mac.
Then again it may just be covering another thing but need held in place, or it's broken, or fake

Meh. iPod is better. If I wanted a Nano though. It would need a bit bigger screen. And an ability to actually do a bit more than just play music. A camera would be a good start. An am/fm radio in it would help too.
