Google has a nice feature with Android called Chrome to Phone. Basically you install the add-on in Chrome and download the app on your Android phone. If you're browsing the web on your computer and want to view that page on your phone, you press a little icon next to the address bar and it opens the link on your phone. Works with maps, phone numbers, etc.

You can do this on iOS as well with an app called Notifo. (http://itunes.apple....ifo/id359063459) Download the app on your phone and install the extension on your computer and you'll be able to send links, right click on images and send just the image, and more.

I use this all the time when I'm browsing the forum and want to see how something would look with the mobile version on my phone, when I find a funny pic I'd like to save to my phone's camera roll, etc.

By default, the app is set to open Notifo when you get a notification requiring you to click the link you sent and then Open in Safari. You can set it to automatically open your link in Safari when you tap the notification.

Why wouldn't you? I'm using it and it's amazing! I wish it was cleaner and smoother tho :-: (iOS)

I used to use it a long time ago before the iPhone had an official Google Voice app. It was the only way to get notifications. Then I figured out I could use it like this and I've been using it ever since.

What do you mean smoother? Like the app is laggy or something? I don't even use the app, just its notifications. I have it set up so when I send myself a link and tap on the notification, it opens the Notifo app for a split second and then automatically switches to Safari and opens the link. Not sure if I explained that well in my other post.

  • Open Notifo
  • Click "Settings" in top right corner.
  • Service Settings
  • User Notifications
  • Event Settings
  • Chrome to Notifo - Image
  • Scroll down to "Auto-Redirect Notifications" and choose "Yes"
  • Click the "User" (back) arrow at the top and repeat the same thing for "- Chrome to Notifo - Link" and "- Chrome to Notifo - Page".

That's weird. Did you check off Yes for Auto-Redirect Notifications for that and does it work?

Yep. I figured a lot of people may not have heard about it because I've never seen anyone mention it and the app only had like 40 reviews.
