Hello everyone, I've had an iPhone 4 for about 2 or so years and jailbroke it with l1merain when it was first available. I had no problems really with the iOS4.2, but decided it was finally time to upgrade to 5 a week ago.
I jailbreak iOS5 & it installs Cydia properly, but it seems that whenever my phone runs out of battery it will not start up properly again. This has happened for the second time under the same circumstances. The phone works great but when I forget to charge it overnight it will not boot up past the apple logo and I have to restore it.
Obviously this is a huge inconvenience and I'd like to know if this is a common issue. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?
Thanks in advance for the support.
iOS5 jailbreak works at first...

It appears you have downloaded the wrong jailbreaking software (a tethered jailbreak) appropriated for your firmware version. I am assuming you are on iOS 5.0.1, and you want to use a tool called redsn0w. Here is the download for Windows, and here is the download for OS X.
Try redsn0w and tell me how it works.

I used redsn0w to jailbreak it both times :| it works great except for it not starting up with a dead battery lol
I'm thinking it might have to do with my downloaded Cydia apps? I made sure they all have ios5 support but it's the only thing that makes sense really. More specifically aptbackup, I'm going to not restore using it this time and see how things go.

I'd it doesn't boot after jailbreak you've used the wrong version.
Redownload the tool from the dev teams website, then re-run the jailbreak.

You need to use the untethered jailbreak.
