Im glad im off Windows 7, wich made my laptop slow as ass.
Since i did a test for background processes with W7 comparing to AOS and LI-OS i was stunned.
So much processes slowing your pc/laptop down starts to become annoying and not needed.
Especially when you laptop is from Acer (Acer is a really good brand, but you got to delete like half of the laptops memory when you get it brand new. Acer sucks at delivering new laptops (So many programs running on background and useless programs)

my laptop is from Acer. I had re-installed Windows 7 a little while after and with a fresh copy of Win7 and no bloatware running there was a good increase in speed. Right now I'm using Linux Mint and it's a hell of a lot faster and nicer.

Mint 12?
I had issues with that one. Colourbit changed and made every colour into like 100 and mouse sometimes dont want to move.
Ubuntu works great!

That sounds bougus. You can always boot from a DVD with an operating system on it an wipe your HDD. Get Super Grub disc btw it solves loads of problems.
