The three iPhone hackers have joined pod2g on his quest to create an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices. This brings some good hopes for the jailbreak community just waiting for a A5 jailbreak. The news was posted on pod2g's iOS Blog this morning. http://pod2g-ios.blo...fficulties.html

@planetbeing, the legendary hacker behind iPhone Linux and lot of jailbreaks (http://theiphonewiki...ser:Planetbeing) has joined the A5 research!

The famous @MuscleNerd (http://theiphonewiki...User:MuscleNerd), the leader of the iPhone Dev Team, who did a lot of tests for Corona and whom integrated it and made it simple in redsn0w is willing to help also.

And last, but not least @p0sixninja (http://theiphonewiki...User:Posixninja), the leader of the Chronic Dev Team, and my partner for years on iPhone security research has started to code and fuzz the Apple sandbox.

We now have a dream team to find a path for a public release of the A5 jailbreak.

Cross your fingers.

well im just guessing man.

i know of a guy that could probably do this in no time. but he wouldnt do it for nothing if you wanted it quick, and doesnt own an iphone anyways.

i wounder if the jailbreak required a small piece of hardware it would be any simpler? that way they could get money for the hardware. im sure people would be happy if they could meet demand and it made the waiting process much shorter.

well if I was doing what they do for the amount of time they do. I'd be expecting a decent sum of donations. And seeing the number of people relying on them. They'll be making that amount with ease.

Last time I saw a donations box it was for Dark Alex and it was at $600 on a relatively new site. (PSP "jailbreaker")
