Bold 9900 . No Spam Please!

So my brother bought a BB bold 9900 locked from vodaphone Ireland , but he returned and unlocked the device here in my country , the problem is , the browser doesn't work at all , only an address bar where you type site address but it doesn't work , and tabs icons that you can't click , when pressing the BB button on device , there is no options ! Just close help and such !
Anyone that knows a solution ?

Usually problems with Blackberry browsers are related to the phone company having ballsed up the setting up of your account and not enabling BB services. You could try going to the shop and getting help. My friend had the same problem from Orange Uk, and they resent the activation texts which seemed to resolve the issue.

Well , he bought it locked and unlocked it illegally I think , so will they do it for him ? And does restoring OS affect the unlock like on iPhones ? Or is it unlocked forever ?
