Chris.

Where the F is an Apple store near me?
Its 200KM ferther up.

My macbook went away to fucking America for 2 weeks before it got back.
And it broke down again.

My Acer looks way better from the inside then that shitty Macbook.
I opened it, and damm i almost jizzed all over it.

Also when i spill water or drinks over my laptop, it will send it to the sides where it comes out.
Macbook has to get the whole top cover removed because you cant clean it.
My keys can be removed with 1 hand in a few seconds.
And easier to put back on.

Also shitty windows?
I thought i already mentioned i got Linux.

I also did a speed test with Bf3 (Best game right now for graphics and more). And an overall speed test.
My laptop did better then that Macbook pro that costs still like 46 euros more.

How long does it take to boot an Macbook pro?
And how long does it take to boot mine?
And to shut them both down?

How many speakers does Macbook have? And mine...

How big screen can you get at Apple?
And how much do it have?

Does Apple even have energy saver?

I also got more Usb slots wich is very needed. With my last laptop (4x usb slot) i used a hub.
Now i got 5 (I got the most expensive version).

What i got so far as Pros:

18.4 inch Screen
Intel core I7 2670QM
16GB Ram
1000GB HDD
120GB SSD
Nvidia GT555M (Damm i wish i had Ati)
1x USB 3.0
4x USB 2.0
5.1 Home Cinema ( 5 speakers in my laptop and they also say a subwoofer. But i never feel it. Pure 5.1 output ofcourse)
Detachable touchpad wich i can use as a mousetab just like Apple has (But macbooks cant Detach them!)
Touchpad also can serve as a wireless remote for the laptop, or other acer items.
It can also be used for media remote (Music player) on distance.
Blu ray player (Hoooooot)

And wait, Chris wernt you the one that hated Xbox because it didnt had Blu-ray?

Negatives:
Heavy (Less heavy as my previous)
Idiotic Acer sign under the screen that has a led in it. (I still got to detach it).
Not a smooth plate around the keyboard. My dirty hands are sanded clean thanks to it. And that makes my laptop board dirty.
The adapter is even larger then my previous. (My car is even smaller).
It is quite loud when you run it in Boost sector. But thats my own fault since i adjusted the Cooling...
At standard it didnt made a sound, especially when you booted it.
First time i started the laptop i was like, wtf does it even work?!
And then in 4 seconds. windows login:

Macbook pro:
OMFG IT COSTS EVEN MORE!
3398 euro. And my laptop is 2400 (Around)

Pros:
17.3 inch screen
I7 core 2.5Ghz (Whatever the version is, they dont say it)
8 GB Ram (Max)
128GB SSD (Or a 540GB SSD for 500 euro more, or 750GB HDD and not an addition of a SSD (Is not possible)

Negatives:
AppleCare Protection Plan voor MacBook Pro - Auto-enroll [+ € 349,00]

^--- 349 EURO TO GET SERVICE FOR YOUR LAPTOP. OMFG And worldwide service

I got this for free for 2/3 years, and i got to pay 120 euro for another 2/3 years!

Ugly as shit
Expensive
Hard to fix yourself, and if you do it. No warranty (I do, they even accepted my own service on the laptop and still fixed it (Previous laptop).
The inside has same junk as any other fabricator. It only wears the brand Apple.

You said, damn I wish I had an ati. Soon as I read that, I didn't even bother reading the rest of your post. You clearly know very little about computer hardware.

Enjoy!

And just to clarify, I do not own a Mac and I have never purchased a Mac. But I do have experience with vast amount of components used by many manufacturers. And experience with about 2 dozen different operating systems.

i cant follow what your saying. and your comparing your old macbook pro against it? apple updates the range several times a year with newer bits.

lets have a look inside then. i wanna see.

my macbook takes around 30 seconds to boot at a guess. that doesn't just boot though, it also loads a few things i have set to load at boot. it also restores everything that was open and how it was before reboot, but thats the OS.

i have no idea how many speakers my macbook has. but then anyone thats bothered about sound would think any laptop speakers are shit anyways, so im not sure what your getting at? i was impressed with the sound quality from my macbook... but it's still shit, its a laptop.

and screen size? 17 i think is the biggest apple do as far as i know, and thats stupidly big. i wished i had the 13 instead of my 15, but it got brought for me so i cant complain. but yer, thats opinion and irrelevant anyways.

and energy saver? you mean what? control over sleep ect? none the less apple computers are some of the most energy efficient on the market. http://www.apple.com...nvironment.html < i wouldn't usually supply a link but im fed up with douches like d23543563467567n saying i don't know what im on about.

i got only 2 USB ports, but theres not really any more room for anymore. if i had my way i would loose the sd card slot and replace it with another USB, but then i don't need more than 2 anyways. well, more than 1 really.

and did i say that about xbox? i don't think i would have as i don't own any blu rays. lol. i do own a few hundred high res movies though on my server, and it would be nice if the xbox could play them back, but it cant.

and you have to pay for warranty with apple? we don't here, just the extended care. we have my iPhone, 2 iPads, an iMac, a HTC desire and 2 macbook pros all fully insured for £8 a month, or it might be 5? either way, yer thats fuck all.

well the ugly part is totally opinion.
we already saw that these 2 machines are evenly priced. so how? you cant just count all of the rip off extras that apple provides as part of the price.
how are they hard to fix yourself? there not at all lol. not that you would need to anyways :P
and changing parts inside your macbook does NOT void any warranties . i don't know who told you that.
and apple does use better bits, its an industry fact, theres no argument there man.

No the old macbook i had was 2 years old.
I aint comparing that to what i got now.

Im comparing the ''quite'' same statics macbook to my acer laptop.
And it costs 900 euro more then i got now.
For the same price you got way less then i got.

Also
Ati is better, it is less noisy and has the awesome catalyst control i like.
I always had Nvidia but i like Ati more for videocards.

Ofcourse ugly part is opinion. But thats a reason i didnt take it to.

They are hard to fix, because they suck at opening them. (I consider that to a hard part)

Its like a fucking iphone, fix it? Stay tuned for next episode about opening it.

My SE X10 was open in 10 seconds, 100% open.
My Iphone 3gs took me about 6 minuts to open up 100% and not broken.

My Samsung note took me about 20 seconds to open up 100%.

A Acer laptop does only take a minut or 2 to open up to the extreme to be able to touch every item.
For a macbook this takes longer, and i hate that!

Also getting loose parts sucks hard.

For an non apple item you can just visit any website and order. Or go to any shop,

For macbook you have to order from apple, or warranty is ghone.

And yes Apple told me about warranty stuff, so if you think its weird? Ask them!

you were told wrongly about the warranty, unless it's different where you live? and you don't have to buy from apple. apple charge stupid prices to upgrade your system anyways. i think they rely on people thinking their the only people that do upgrades for the mac. or rely on them thinking like you, that it ruins warranty.

2 minutes to boot? ok mine was a guess but it definitely ain't nowhere near 2 minutes! and it's doing so much more. it restores everything that was running to the same state it was before the computer was shut down. even window positions and any text that was highlighted :P i could of course uncheck a tick box and have it just boot fresh, which is much quicker.

i still don't understand which macbook you have?

opening my macbook is as simple as removing about 10 screws?

and im not sure why your mentioning a bunch of phones :S

and as far as price goes, i looked at the costs where i live and they were pretty much the same?

Do you ever read my posts?
I didnt say it takes me 2 minuts to boot.
But to open up the laptop (To get underneath the skin).
IM TALKING ABOUT MY ACER ^----
My macbook is 2 years old.

My acer laptop takes about 5-8 seconds to boot, and it loads everything it had open when i closed it.
I never shut it down.
But from fully shut down to booten up takes about 9-10 seconds.

For the rest its damm fast.

I always pick the fastest and best items worth for your money.
And Apple aint that, and i realised that for sure.
I payed to much for my Apple items, and i got rid of them to early.
I prefer a good item for a year or two and replace it.
Not a sucky item for a half year to a year that costs twice as much.

Anyway, i never go ferther then 1.5/2 years with a laptop or desktop anyway.

9 -10 seconds cold boot? Sorry but I can't believe that, I have to see it. Unless it' a SSD?

And what spec is your MacBook? There's something wrong if it's as slow as you make out man. My 6 year old MacBook that my dad now has is faster than yours.

This whole argument came about because I think the MacBook is the better deal, I still do. I googled your laptop and the prices in google shopping were in the same range as when I did the same for a MacBook pro. Your laptop sounds awesome but I imagine the MacBook costs more to make, so I think it's the better deal. And in my opinion it's the better looking machine.

So you got an SSD, of course it will boot quicker lol. I don't even have a hybrid, it's just a regular HD.
And your MacBook is like 4 + models old, it's not fair to compare that. Besides, if it's as slow as you say there's a problem with it. Personally I don't think you even have one. If you did you wouldn't be chatting all this shit.

And I do ready your shit, but it's hard to follow.

Then if you don't like it, why post? I doubt they care about your opinion; you're just posting for the sake of posting.

RIGHT! You fanboys all split up the flame fighting RIGHT NOW!!!

iFans, go sit on the naughty step, Droid fans go to the naughty corner. All of you stay there for five minutes and NO TALKING.

When you come back I want you to think about your actions and what you could do to reconcile your friendships. Then apologise to each other and carry on as friends. Got that?

:P
