Ew HTC.

Reason why:

"Grab your closest iPad or iPhone and open Safari. Start loading a complex web page like Facebook. Half way through loading, put your finger on the screen and move it around. All rendering instantly stops. The website will literally never load until you remove your finger. This is because the UI thread is intercepting all events and rendering the UI at real-time priority.

If you repeat this exercise on Android, you’ll notice that the browser will attempt to both animate the page and render the HTML, and do an ‘ok’ job at both. On Android, this a case where an efficient dual core processor really helps, which is why the Galaxy S II is famous for its smoothness."

Android can theoretically load the page in tiles as well.

Android is faster, better to work with. More expandable.
And yes it looks better!

Also, you can choose your own brand of phones instead of one.
So you can also get nice looking phones, or phones bigger then 3.5''!

Like my 5.3 inch note. I love it!

Android is NOT faster. What are you talking about? Do you have a source for this claim?

Can you play with your 5.3 inch note easily with one hand? Have you been diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome? or perhaps Repetitive Strain Injury? Or can you used the device without having your thumb act like a eel?

Iphone, it has been proven many times.

My samsung Note and my colleges S2 win from my colleges iphone 4 and 4S. With the same games (Coin dozer, etc etc) and with browser.
We all have the same provider.

Mine is slightly faster then the S2 (But its a tablet/smarthphone, so it doesnt really allow to be in the same branch).
And the S2 is way faster then the iphone.

Look on youtube, you will see the difference!

Proof one, Galaxy S2 is like twice as fast.
By putting on Wi-fi, by using browser, using settings, turning on.
(You have to see the video or shut up)

BTW why does iphone have to go to home screen, then setting and then turn on wifi or plane mode?
While Android just uses task bar... Way easier.
And android goes faster on wi-fi then iphone to.

Proof two, This is phone related, not android vs IOS.
But still S2 makes better pictures on the green protector, and iphone on the white phone protector.
Iphone is faster on making pictures, but my old X10 did it as fast as that to. So not android based.

That is a hardware issue, not android vs IOS.
And yes in matter of fact i can!
I learned how to do it, and it is damm awesome.
Its better then playing on a tablet while your wiping your ass!
And yes i can play games in one hand while doing that! Plain awesome with 1280x1040 pixels and 5.3 inch screen!

Pretty sure it's 1280x800.

Don't take offense to this but I'm guessing English isn't your first language. You clearly said Android is faster. I guess you meant some devices that run Android are faster than the iPhone?

Lol you used a browser test to prove the speed of android? Just look at how smooth android can track fingers, zoom and scroll. Also the unreal engine for android must be epic.

Sarcasm aside, browser tests are not what shows the speed of the device. Just see some benchmarks ::)

And android isn't faster. Like Channan said, some are faster.

But if you compare the iPhone 3GS [600MHz] to an android with te same specs, iOS is waaaay faster and smoother. We don't even need 1GHz to be smooth and fast. You need at least a dual core at 1.2GHz to be smooth

Sure iOS renders pages slowly. I'll admit it. But android makes te whole web browsing experience slow laggy and just plain stupid.

Who wants to see animations when they are scrolling? With the iPhone 4S, I haven't seen a single checkerboard non rendered tiles.

@ first post, he wasn't talking about graphics though. Besides, the Mali-400 is still a really good GPU.

@ second post, I don't think it really matters if you need a dual core processor for Android to be smooth unless you're planning on buying a low end Android phone, then you really can't complain anyway.

@ second paragraph, but doesn't that mean an iPhone of the same specs leave more processing power for applications? and no matter what, iOS will always be faster?

My galaxy note costs the same as an 4s. What do i get more?
Better cpu
Better screen
Better camera
Bigger screen
Faster mobile
More options (s pen and special apps for games (ps1, nintendo, psp)
I never got weird scrolling things like you explain.
Never lagg

You say with android the scrolling goes slow and rendering to?
You must have never seen a high end android before in your life.
Colleges and friends with iphone begged to use my phone for a while. And the result was that they admit its faster and smoother.

Period.

Want to show your right? Get a video of your prove and show it.
And not 4s vs mid end phones or 2.2 android or lower. No ios5 vs android 2.3.5 phones of same price as 4s.

False false false false and false. Retina display looks way better. The camera is the best on a smartphone. Your CPU spends half it's time decoding java. A5 is better. Bigger screen =/= better. Using a pen for your touch screen is like going back in technology. You have choppy scrolling. You can't even be sure you will get updates while my device stays upto date for the next three years. iOS is the opposite of lag. Android is the definition for lag.

Your college and friends must be really dumb. I managed to impress and bring shame on high end android owners at college just by using an iPod Touch.

Samsung is a joke. They make ads making fun of iPhone owners. What can they do. They can't even come up with something original.

Galaxy Note is a Joke. (It even rhymes) its bigger than a phone and smaller than a tablet. Samsung making things of all sizes to try and steal the market. There isn't one single phone that has all the advantages of iPhone. Notice how there are only 3 iPhones being marketed right now and Samsung alone has a god knows how many.

Trust me, I did consider getting the Galaxy Note, you can see one of my comments on here. I didn't buy it because it was such a piece of shit. There are barely any apps that run at that size. Fragmentation. Android market has 300,000+ apps now, how many of those apps have a native resolution for each individual android phone? Only a little.

*sigh*

Its funny that you cant understand the truth.

Every saw an S2 or Note in real life?
I compared the screens of my note and an S2 vs an 4 and an 4S. Note and S2 are better. Doh.

You never can and never will compare those phones, because youre to dumb to understand the truth.

But hey, i am glad im not dump.
I got proof, and i got video's and real comparisions.
You got?
Your iphone and just a bunch of words next to it to compare.

O well...

I know i got the truth here, and i am glad i didnt buy an iphone.
My first sucked as hell, and my 3gs to.

No display that has a pentile arrangement could ever be better than plain good old rgb. And oops sorry I dont have a device to compare it to. Turns out I do search a lot of things online before buying a device and don't spend money on imitating pieces of crap. Too bad you can't comprehend what I write.

*Moawns* Im going to play some serious awesome PSP and PS2 games on my 5.3 inch screen. Better then an psp itself.
Good luck on having your brains brainwashed by Apple. I can see youre already to far in the progress.

Hey wait, can you draw drawings on your phone?
Use youre phone as a screen for games while you have controller buttons on it?
And can you watch movies in full HD with a larger screen then 3.5 inch?

And can you have fun with that phone while half of the screen is for buttons?

And how fast can you switch from apps to apps, and from 4g to wifi?

And how much did you spend on that phone? A lot i bet? While Windows and Android phones are cheaper for the same thing.

And can you drop your phone without breaking glass?

Hmm

Cya
