why would you wanna downgrade? 5.0.1 has improvements over 5.0.
i always go for the latest jailbreakable iOS version. anything else doesn't make sense, unless your one of those people that have to worry about basebands or whatever.

Yeah so far there really isn't a need to downgrade. Maybe when apple patches ipod2g's exploit

I used custom firmware because I needed to worry about baseband, on 5.01. Would rather have a better battery life than an untethered jailbreak.

I think pod2g said the untether jailbreak will require a little rework to be able to work for 5.0.1 so you shouldn't have to downgrade as 5.0.1 will be untethered also.

While that is true, I think this is more of an affirmation that iFaith works and it is possible to downgrade.
