Question about software dependencies

When creating programs for the iphone that require dependent software, does the dependent software also have to be all on the same repo? Or can you put all the dependent software in a package and still get them them installed without those dependent programs being on the repo you uploaded the final program to? I need to know that before I create the program. Thanks.

You can require packages on other repos. You can see this by looking at all the packages that are dependant on mobile substrate even though they're not on the same repo.

Will the user have to install that other repo in order to get it?

Yeah, though they could be separate packages.

Well if you didn't make the package you want to require it's better to merge them into one package.
