Hi, I'm new to all this, just after some advice. The building next door to where I work have wifi that I can "see" when using my iPhone in my office, obviously it won't let me connect (I have tried) as it is a secure network any ideas what I can do to get connected? I'm in the UK if that makes any difference and I also can only really use my iPhone to try this...

Location doesn't make a difference. Network type does. A WEP network is the only one you have any real chance of getting into. However iPhones are tat when it comes to hacking them. You'd need a full PC Program to pull it off. And lots of patience.

I'm not keen on this activity though as it is illegal nearly everywhere so I don't know if I'd be allowed to post anything about it here. The "Copyrighted material" & "Server Attacks" rules could go against it and the Computer Misuse act and Data Protection Act say it's illegal too.

They seperate C class criminals from A. Ive been to jail plenty of times, worst part is sleeping on the cement floor of the holding cell with 20 other guys. The murderes and rapists were kept seperate in a different holding cell, wearing different color clothing and ankle cuffs. On the other hand, ive hi-jacked many routers and the victims never knew it.

B. They don't use it enough to notice.
C. They don't have a chance of catching you.

I'm actually a friendly pentester so i don't going around screwing with wireless just to be sadistic, i usually rename it to tell them to lock it up and leave it be.
