THIS FORUM HAS MIGRATED TO ALL DIGITAL TALK FORUMS

Hi, I'm new to all this, just after some advice. The building next door to where I work have wifi that I can "see" when using my iPhone in my office, obviously it won't let me connect (I have tried) as it is a secure network any ideas what I can do to get connected? I'm in the UK if that makes any difference and I also can only really use my iPhone to try this...

Location doesn't make a difference. Network type does. A WEP network is the only one you have any real chance of getting into. However iPhones are tat when it comes to hacking them. You'd need a full PC Program to pull it off. And lots of patience.

I'm not keen on this activity though as it is illegal nearly everywhere so I don't know if I'd be allowed to post anything about it here. The "Copyrighted material" & "Server Attacks" rules could go against it and the Computer Misuse act and Data Protection Act say it's illegal too.

Sorry :(

Super easy if it's WEP. Do research.

Google aircrack tutorials

You're gonna need a laptop, it can't be done from an iPhone.

You know hacking wifi is a federal offence, with lots of jail time an comes with lots of biting the pillow, I hope you know how to swallow 😄 an the people who always say they can't be traced through their hidden networking are the ones hanging from their prison cells from shame.I hate to see how little a nieve young kid could last in a maxed out jail amongst muderers an rapists

They seperate C class criminals from A. Ive been to jail plenty of times, worst part is sleeping on the cement floor of the holding cell with 20 other guys. The murderes and rapists were kept seperate in a different holding cell, wearing different color clothing and ankle cuffs. On the other hand, ive hi-jacked many routers and the victims never knew it.

Not bragging, just explaining the irrelevance of murder and rape compared to hijacking wireless routers. I just speak from experience.

Boo is correct. And a braggart he is not. I will speak of my experiences as matter of factly as Boo does. No brag. It's just a thing that happened.

My balls are worth a few mgs of bandwith to you? That's kinda creepy

Anyways if anyone's stupid enough to leave their wireless hackable
A. They deserve to have it hacked.
B. They don't use it enough to notice.
C. They don't have a chance of catching you.

I'm actually a friendly pentester so i don't going around screwing with wireless just to be sadistic, i usually rename it to tell them to lock it up and leave it be.

This is exactly how you will get caught. Regardless of your intentions, I don't think the owners would be too happy about their routers being "hacked."

Hey Boo...how did you get caught if the victims never knew? Curious..
