Man, I took my n8 in for repair and they updated to Symbian Anna (not released here yet) its sooo smooth and so much better then the firmware your most likely on

ok, i ve got the code now, actualy ar 2 codes, i ve entered the firsth one (wich is actually a 15 digits) but it say is a wrong code..now i am afraid to enter the second one... somewere i ve seen was a 8 digits...anyone knows this?!?

Idk but if you try too many times Ur phone will get locked and u will have to take it to a Nokia store to get it fixed. I suggest reading the instructions on the website

its easy

1 - Switch ON your phone without SIM Card,
2 - Compose #PW+CODE+1#

(if locked from Fido/Roger Canada, please compose#PW+CODE+7#)

The letter P appear after press 3 times quickly the button star ( * )
The letter W appear after press 4 times quickly the button star ( * )
The letter + appear after press 2 times quickly the button star ( * )

3 - The phone show "SIM Restriction Off" and was unlocked !

i know it can be locked, but if i am not wrong can also be fixed at home, write or wrong?!?!?! i wanna put the second code but i am really afraid of locking that thing...... if i was sure is a 15 digits code i could go for it,but somewere say 8...

I'm pretty sure a second shot won't hurt. I'd think it only Lols after 3 attempts at least

On another note, I rang my carrier and told them I'm going to Japan on Friday and need to unlock my phone for an international sim. They gladly gave me the unlock code, but it didn't work after two tries, so the tech guy sent an email to Nokia to see if my firmware update got a new unlock code. Fingers crossed he gets a new code for me and it works. Otherwise I will have to use a shitty phone in japan

So r u on contract or pay as you go?? how funny is of theme that they sent u a wrong code.... cna the update to a new FW delite the unlock i ve just done?!?!?

hi there are many ways to unlock the
mobile we can use software ,cable ,codes etc.... among
them codes are the best .nowadays there are many online sites found that provide
the codes to unlock the mobile.you can get the codes from here unlocking4u here they ask
the following details they are mobile model,country and the network which locks your mobile ,imei
number of the mobile .finally they will send the codes to unlock the mobile.

yeh they gave me a new code the next day and it worked on the third try lol thank fuck. im happy haha, and yeh im back from japan now. it was the new firmware that required a new code for me
