I need same help unlocking blackberry 8520 Curva

Hey all, a friend of mine just asked me if I could unlock her BB 8520 Curva from a Vodafone Spanish network.. I ve been reading something around but same say I need to pay like 10 to 20€.... Anyone can help me?!? Ty!!

RIM will have to unlock the phone most likely. you will need to contact the current provider to have the phone unlocked. they will only do this once any contract is over.

Thyanx Chris, i think must be on contrat on spain and now she ll like to have any sim card on it.. u think if i ll call any provider in italy couldn t have it unlocked coz of the contract in spain??

Get your imei number(back of phone when you take out the battery) and send it to one of those unlock companies to get your code, usually cost $10-20 and take less then 24 hours to get your code

how about those guys, http://www.unlockbla.../Curve-8520.php they can provide the unlock code for free, but i am strugling to get the Engineering Screens... :( i get too the hlp me screen easly, ALT+CAPS+H but then can go more than this... they can also provide the code att 4 quids

whoever provided the handset. they will usually do it free. unless, of course your still in a contract with them?

i think so m8.... i ve callled the vodafone italy, but they couldn t do anything about, they sudgested me too go to the RIM assistance....

i just had my iPhone 4 unlocked by my carrier. apple did the unlock part, but my carrier had to tell apple to do it (as technically the carrier owns the phone in a contract)

Ok, i done it woth those guys https://www.unlocks.co.uk/, if anyone is interested cheap and quick, was about 5pounds but i have euros here so it was eaven cheaper!!!
