1.) Open any application

2.) Press and hold the power button until the slide to shutdown swipe bar appears.

3.) Release Power button

4.) Press and hold Home button Lightly
until screen returns to icon screen

5.) Enjoy your functioning home button!!!

This procedure recalibrates the home button after normal wear or heavy use.

My home button was being unresponsive alot of the time
Just wouldn't work
So I had a look around and found the above tutorial

It seems to have worked for me

I know it's not just me who has this issue it's a common bug

The bug only normally effects iPhones from what ive noticed

But theres nothing wrong with recalibrating every so often

they taught us this in apple iphone training a year ago, that it force closes the application - like if it wont close when you hit the home button or exit it from multitasking

Just turns on voice control for me

This worked for me for a while but eventually I had to replace the home button. Works like the day I got it now. It's a pain to tear the phone down but I had a cracked screen anyway.

Very nice. Button acting iffy. Now it is working well.
