So, here’s a thought. Could it be the case that Google’s share of the smartphone market has peaked? That the phone-buying public simply is more inclined to choose Apple’s vertically integrated approach over the cacophony of the Android market?

Could it, in fact, be the case that, while Google and Microsoft can innovate and find niche markets for their mobile OS offerings, that Apple has basically won the game, at least for the U.S. market? There’s no question that Android-based devices are crushing the likes of Nokia and Research in Motion at the low-end of the market, rapidly killing off the feature phone market. But at the top of the heap, Apple is crushing it. And iPhone 5 is just months away.

redsn0w version b5 incorporates yet another fix for iBooks, this time involving DRM. @planetbeing wrote a utility called "crazeles" that overcomes jailbreak detection by iBooks that would cause about 10% of images to show incorrectly. This fix is similar to the "hunnypot" fix that @comex wrote for the 4.x jailbreak. As usual, you can choose to install the fix either by re-running redsn0w over your existing jailbreak (de-select Cydia if you do that), or by installing the corona package from Cydia (it's the same set of files no matter which way you choose).

Hi, I heard some great news from IRC @planetbeing has fixed Corona issues with iBooks DRMd books. Corona 1.0.6 to be released soon.

Just hired a server admin to reconfigure my entire server and optimize all sites on it. He is close to done and HOPEFULLY we will see no more down time. I know it was getting ridiculous but this should solve the problem. It really was nothing to do with iHMi but with another site on the server that is just really old and doesn't run right. Cross your fingers!
